Anybody read the Ampesand column of this month's road and track? It shows a concept of the 2006 RX7 and mazdaspeed miata. And the way the article is worded it sounds like shes coming over!!!

Just my opinion, but I just don't get how hard it would be to make a better looking Rx-7, or at least one that looks as good as the 3rd gen. As for power..........280HP, I think Mazda should really step up to the plate and build a low 4 to sub 4 second 0-60 machine to hang in there with the competition.

i agree though that one thing mazda should most definitely NOT do is deviate too far from the styling of the FD.. like i've seen in every god damn 4th gen 'concept' sketch to date. the popularity of the sports car is back, there are too many bitch cars out there now and we need some real class. the only class i'm seeing in evo or road and track starts at around $160,000. I honestly think it would cost less to build a body and chassis more similar in styling to the FD, than that big bulky **** you see on all the concepts... just my .02 |

I'm keeping my FD. No new car on the road looks even CLOSE to as elegant. Yes I like the 350Z and some of the other cars... Z06... But None have the FD's style.

NOOOOOOOOOO! i'm keeping the FC....FOREVER! dang, the rx-8 looks better than that! i'd take a MPS rx-8 over that seven. heck, make it a rotary miata, that thing looks good.
although i heard the MPS Miata was getting a possible V6, not a rotary... |

The spoiler on the new RX-7 looks like the one on a talon tsi. and the front end looks a little like something pontiac would make. Overall, the FD is better. IT is the best looking car out of japan.

from the way i'm starting to see it. mazda ****** nailed the fd with looks. still to this day if the fd started selling again many people would prefer it from some of the horseshit looking cars being made today. i'm not sure if they can improve on the fd looks.... big statement but i believe it is true.
