A friend of mine told me that he read a rumor about a new RX-7 and had some pics. I know that there was some talk about this in the other forum a few months ago and I saw some pics, but my friend stated that these new pictures were different. Does anyone know if this is true?

are you thinking o the rx8 perhaps? i also have heard rumors that,if the rx8 does not sell too good they will bring back a newer fd.....personally i love all rotary's but im partial (think thats the right word,but hey,im a moron) to fd's

Hahahaha.....I didn't know that were making a new supra so I looked it up. The designs they have are all extremely ugly! They would have to pay me to drive any of them.
As for the whole rumors are thing......I'm in highschool and I know enough to say that 99% rumors are lies. Their is no way to say if they are going to make any of these vehicles. It would be great to see if they do bring back the 7. But why would they even be thinking about this now when they just took it out of production last year. Not trying to be a hater I just don't want people to get their hopes up.

Maybe the RX-8 will sway ppl back to the rotary with improved emissions, horsepower, handeling etc..but the 30k price tag seems unattainable to some whom may desire what the 8 has to offer. Sadly I think that ******* Miata took some of the market away from the 7, compounded by the emissions/fuel efficiency problems.
Is the RX-8 a market test to spark new interest, and revive old in the rotary? who knows? I simply have a hard time believing that an RX-7 as soon as '04 hasn't seen the light of day from the media, at least, there has only been speculation and rumor...
