New Project

1975 kawasaki H2 triple. Comes with a 2 stroke, 750cc, 3 cylinder engine.
ive had for a little over a month i would say, and its been fun. cant have a rotary, so might as well get something as loud or even louder...
i already have the engine opened up as the center cylinder lost compression, check out the pics.
You can see it had a nice case of running lean and detonation. Also the center cylinder along with the left has some pretty bad scoring on the pistons and heads due to some pretty chunks of piston rings being eaten up. All of this has been there for a while know, you can tell when we opened it up. I believe its due to the fact that the previous owner ran the bike on Castor oil on the street, which not good cause that **** never burns well unless the engine is spitting it all out at high *** RPM's.
It was nasty inside. Exhaust ports we about 40-50% clogged with carbon build up due to the ****** oil. The bike has these badass racing Denco expansion chambers with no silencers...They are LOUD AS ****!!! think of a PP rotary with open headers..
Well the stingers on the exhaust (the tiny tips) were also clogged with the shitty *** carbon build up from the oil....
im getting it bored out .50mm over and all this other ****, so its gonna be fun. Gonna get the top end bead blasted before the boring, so its all purdy. Exhaust has been flushed, got some new clip on style bars, etc....
Just something fun to work on. doesnt look all that, but the engine is what im interwsted in...=D
Well enough jibba jabba, here are a few pics...
Here is the bike when i first bought it...
2 of the 3 pistons. Left in pic is the best one which was the right one in the motor. Right piston in the pic is the Center cylinder. Left piston was in some sort of shape between these two...lol
here are the heads...check out the wonderful damage the piston rings did...
With the heads off...
Loosing a little compression ya think?
Better angle...

Those are cool bikes. Have a big aftermarket from what I understand.
I've ran castor oil in my dirt bikes and currently run it in my jetskis. Never had an oil related problem. If I ever did, the smell might still be worth it. Heh.
A couple guys I knew did have problems with Amsoil's two-stroke oil, though. Quite a few rod bearings that took a dump.
