Well, despite my better judgement, I decided to head out on the bike. I just had it tuned up today and it was running in top shape. It had just started to really rain and I was ******* around in the dirt when I decided to cross a parking lot to another dirt field. Bad idea! I came around the concrete corner with too much faith in the tires and took a digger. Fucked up my leg pretty good, woulda been worse had I not been sporting heavy canvas shorts and a thick cotton long sleeve shirt. And although my fingers got a lttle beat up, the gloves saved my hands. And the helmet definetly saved my ***! Bike suffered scuffing of the outer pedal and rubber grips. That's about it.

Nope! I took it in after about 40 miles on it to have the cables adjusted for stretch and one of the links repaired. I was out riding hard when one link seized on me and was causing the rear deraileur to slip every fourth or fifth pedal rotation. New bike tune up thing.
