I just picked up a 5 horse 20 gallon 110v air compressor, and a sandblaster gun!

I just hooked it up and tested it on part of a rusty subframe on my RX7..

BLAST = CLEAN

It's ridiculous how fun this is. I mean, it comes out so ******* nice looking, and all you do is blast it over a few times. And it makes a cool mess everywhere but WHO CARES!!

I gots me some goggles and a breathing mask, and I'm blasting my whole engine bay Saturday morning, then the painter is coming to paint it around noon on Saturday. THIS IS GONNA BE SWEET!

SWEET!!!

I have alot of experience with air tools and **** at work, but one thing I never got too in-depth with was duty cycles and crap on smaller air compressors, since our shop air compressor is bigger than most FB's.

For how long periods of time should I be running this 110v electric 5 horse? The 20 gallon tank is pretty tiny, so I lose air awful quick then the compressor kicks back on...

What do you think guys?

mine is about the same size (22 gallon, I think). Whenever I hear it start pumping, I just stop using it and wait. Gives me a good time to get a drink or something.
