Well I would like to keep this post fairly short, but I forsee it turning out to be a novel. First off I want to start this post with a listing of the new features available, obviously it's ***** fast. I will put this forum software up against any forum on net as far as speed. Ok on to the actual features/differences:



1) When subscribing to a topic, it only sends one e-mail until you actually view the topic... not one e-mail for every reply.



2) When you view a topic, takes you to the last unviewed posts... there is also a small blue marker that will take you to the last unread post.



3) There are a ton of new features in the user control panel, please feel free to check them out, I will not even begin to list them all.



4) Quick Poll/Quick post link. You can go directly to a new post/poll box rather that having to enter that forum.



5) One of the nicest features in my opinion... when you are in a forum, if you look at the envelope in a topic you have posted, you will see a little black dot, that indicates you have posted in that topic at some point. (only since the upgrade of course).



6) Upload avatar feature.... you can upload your avatar to the server! This has been a feature we have wanted to add since day one.



7) Cookies are stored on the server, meaning you mark the posts as read, then switch computers it will still have the posts marked as read on the second computer!



There are several others, but I think you will figure them out and be pleasantly surprised when you discover them. I appreciate everyone's support and feedback during the upgrade and over the past year, I am going to toss out a "reflection" post this afternoon, maybe restate the goals and let you know what nopistons.com has in store for the future.
