you had the full racingbeat system on there to begin with so you could compare?
yes rob i had the full system from racingbeat, to me it sounded too ducky and as far as the power gains from the racingbeat to the hks sport turbo upgrade(60mm) i saw .001 better times consistant in the 1/4 mile. the hks was a far better sounding groan and not ducky like the racingbeat was.

It is kind of a hard choice because you try to balance sound with power and sometimes it seems like you spend a bundle and get neither. It also makes it difficult because there are not a whole lot of these around here for me to see and hear, seems like most are eastern cars, and also most of the ones around here I have seen so far are just beat. Hard times finding people close with the same year as mine to compare with.

you went from a NA racingbeat to the larger diamater turbo exaust though.

I think it depends on what you want, after a while a loud rotory gets on your nerves, especially a slow NA one- trust me I know!

no rob , a few years back you could buy a full racingbeat exhaust motor back from mazdatrix with either a hks 60mm or racingbeat 60mm cat back but they both used the racing beat header and presilencer. i originaly bought the full RB then after getting very pissed with the donald duck noise the rb exhaust made i switched to the the hks exhaust with using the same header and presilencer. also on the plus side the hks exhaust had a much better y pipe set up and was much easyer to ship out then the masive RB y pipe wich was much like the stock unit.

they dont still do this do they? it would be nice if they did, would it be more expensive with the 2 different exhausts?

I talked to a guy in town here that did all of my other cars exhaust systems and next week I am taking my car to him to do a custom set up. He has done several of them and is totally hooking me up, should run me about 400 for a full system, and he has a tape of the last one he did. Man is it sweet, sounds great and should give me a pretty good power gain according to the last one.
