Cool

I just bought a new beater. I think i got a really good deal. It's a 1992 BMW 318i 5 speed. Well they didnt cone in auto that year. It has 95k miles and runs really good. The only probs are it needs a code so the radio will work again, it need the tires balanced, the front end needs aligned, and the rotors need cut. I can balance the wheels and cut the rotors myself. O also there is some minor paint work that needed to be done to the side-skirts. I was just wondering if any one here knew anyhtign about em i shoudl watch out for, or if any one has owned one. I'm also looking for a intake and exhaust if any one knows a good BMW parts place. i got it for 4.4k let me know what you think.

those older bmw's are a ******* blast to drive... friend had a 90 325 5 speed, and we drove the **** outta it.. honestly, it was fun, practical, and good on gas..

i don't know about reliability because he wrecked it before the engine died.

I have an '87 BMW 325e as my beater. Pretty reliable. Fun to drive? I guess so, I could have had it worse. I don't like the car much though but maybe because its been with my family since we bought it new. Just need to get my TII back up on the road for my daily driver.

Its hard to fault the 3-series bimmer. IMO, the cars hold up very well with proper maintenance. I once drove a co-worker's 325is--very tight, responsive car and it had over 100k on the clock. Wow! A bit small for a DD in my book, but nice cars nonetheless.
