Go liquid cooled. If I didn't have all of my hard drive fans and case fans, it would be a very quiet system. With all the other fans off, you can even hear the water flowing.

thought of that, it's more $$$ than I want to put in that system though

just bought a Soyo Dragon Plus motherboard for it cos the original DFI took an extended vacation, $80 and that was already more than I wanted to spend on that box ever again!

If you compare the price of the water cooling to the processor, its worth the $200 to make my $700 processor run at its peak performance constantly.

You can find some pretty inexpensive water systems that work really well. I went the cheaper way by having an external radiator on my server case, but for a little more, you can find self-contained units that take up 2 5" bays and all you need to do is attach it to the processor.

I noticed a huge difference in water cooling. went from 38 degress to 24.

bought a biostar board this time as i had heard good things and the price was right, used to run asus until i ran into a run of 3 bad boards and never bought another. I have used MSI for the past few years and am very happy with them.

I will say that I am very impressed with the biostar board and price vs value i dont think there is much that can meet it.
