im not so sure why all of you guys are so concerned about salvage cars, it only really matters if you plan on selling it again, anything else can be fixed thats damaged and youll be making a profit.

dont buy the car...... FD's have a unibody chassis..... and the rear fender and the roof is part of this unibody chassis...... if you want to have that fixed, you're gunna be messing with your chassis, which is never the same as it was before the accident. you'll find a better deal

The body damage is fixable, and to strenghten the chassis I'll get a MazdaSpeed body sreighthener kit.

My dad bought his FD for $7500 the car was perfect except for the blown engine. Which cost $2K for a Mazda factory refurbished engine plus install.

That car is screwed and anything over $3K is way too much money for it. I found an FD here in Florida for $9K and it has 70K miles on it and is in great shape. The only reason its so cheap is that its an Automatic.

You have no guarantee that the engine / drivetrain is good. By the looks of the exterior I would say the engine is probably on its way out too. By the time you get finished making that car right you will wish you held out for a cleaner one.

At the very least plan on a new engine for that car. And dont believe their BS about there being new turbos on it either. They are the biggest bullshit artists I have ever seen.
