my computer is running super duper duper slow. so i ran norton and also ad-aware. neither of them found anything, and once they were done the comp was doing just fine. So then a couple hours later it starts running super slow again, and it showed that there was somethign in the recycle bin, and when you open it, its empty, so when you click empty recycle bin a window pops up and says "Are you sure you want to uninstall windows?" so does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of this?
whoa scary

Cool

the system idle process runs damn near constantly, so it's not that.....try getting memturbo, and defrag your RAM with it, tho with 1.25gig memory, you shouldn't have any problems, as almost everyone I've talked to has said that over 1gig is overkill anyway, that's why i have 2 gig :P

Open your case and run your comp for a bit and see if that helps, if it does invest in some more or better fans, cooling can affect performance a lot, i have 5 fans in my system plus my power source is no in the same compartment as my proc, vid card, etc....the power source puts out a LOT of heat......

shut it off and let it sit for a half hour or so, and boot it up. See how it runs then do it again, if this cool down makes it run better you know you have a heat probelm.

How long has it been since you checked the inside for dust
