I have just found a 95 fd that was a theift recovery it is missing its motor, tranny and airbags. So it does have a salvaged title. car fax at 17000 miles. Do you think $9000 is agood price to pay? i think i can get him down. And also what are some good web sites to get a motor and tranny or a front clip?

Please help!

I would not bother with the car for $9000

granted you can get a used engine, tranny, maybe some used airbags, but you cant get rid of that salvage title.

You always THINK you wont sell the car and that the salvage title wont matter, but one day it will be a hassle. Keep in mind your local state laws for registering one, here in NY you have to go to a state DMV inspection where they go over every inch of the car making sure its not re-vinned or has stolen parts on it.

yeah.. at least get one with a clean title. iv'e seen plenty of fd's well under 8 with a blown motor, full tranny, nice interior...

the miles fluctuate, but iv'e seen them between 50-80k on the odo for this price.

You can get a decent FD with good tranny, body, paint, with a blown motor for around 5-7k if you look hard enough.

LMAO. I love when the thieves steal the engine. Thats like breaking into my house and stealing my used toilet paper and empty pizza boxes.

none of them will be a 95 though... Depends on the person but even a 95 with a salvage title might be worth it to someone. Not many 95s were made at all really
