Ok,

so i work as a mechanic, we got a car in and it was wrecked badly, about $3k worth of work.

People didnt want to put that much work into it, plus they were moving to florida. SO they gave me the title to the car, and basically gave me the car.

So i went to fill out the title today and i fucked it up, basically now the title is no good, cant use it to register the car now.

Does anyone know anyway to get another title reissued? This lady whos name i son the title moved to florida and i have no contact with her.

Im ******* pissed off because now i basically threw a car away that i put work and money into to get back on the road.

i went there. they told me i either have to wait 6 months for some bullcrap "inadequate evidence" thingo, or mail the lady a form (even after i told them i have no idea where she is).

i need the car asap, i wanted to get it regged and insured today so my g/f has something to drive around in, but i fucked it up like the ******* that i am.

I am having the worst day of my life and it keeps going downhill.

I don't know if this will work, but run a carfax off the vin to see if you can locate this person. You can probably pick up a work number off there, old address.

If they actually give you the form to mail to the former owner...I would just fill it out yourself and forge their name.

Sounds fucked up...but it worked for someone I know...and it was in NJ.

never scribble on a legal document... draw a line through it.

Not much you can do, file the paperwork, wait the 6 months and quit stressin, ain't gonna do you any good.

If that's what makes the worst day in your life then I'd say things are going pretty well
