Oh **** you were there? Damn, close call. I wish I still worked at the airport, that rocked when I worked swing shift, they close down the small runway and it was free to run my bike on. The cop on the sirport would come and watch LOL.

I don't get it: Do they just stop any car that looks fast? Don't they actually have to witness you driving recklessly, get a plate number, vehicle description, etc. to give you a ticket, or is this more like the clinton era zero tolerance bullshit where they try to arrest you, etc. BEFORE you have done anything wrong?

This is what is worse:

The police had already set up tables with several officers gathering driver's licenses and taking photos of each person, many just for database purposes.

I think the police are doing what the public wants. There was nationwide news when that kid in FL was drag racing 120 mph and killed his own mother. Cops are just doing what the outraged public wants.

yea, i was out there, but that night i left early cause i had to take care of something. Because they know it was "illegal drag races" by you or anyone being there, they say that you are "Participating in illegal drags/activities" therefore they "have the right" to give you a warning or even a ticket. Thats why it says only a few people got actual tickets. They were either trying to run from the cops, or they were caught lining up to run. basically everyone else gets warnings or citations, and they tell you if they do this again and you are there, youre fucked.

This happens every once in a while. I got caught in something very Similar in Saga Bay. Practically the same ****. Got slapped with a "particiation" ticket.

The kid that killed his mother...what can i say, **** happens. Ill admit it, i do race on public streets, but not in heavy traffic or anything, its not right, but where else do you expect to do it? Wait for an autocross thats in the parking lot of Metro zoo once a month? or drive all the way to butfuck Moroso??. and about the deaths...if you live in miami, you know that people in general here CANNOT drive worth a goddamn. its kinda sad truely. Just on Friday, i left my work and headed to my girls house and saw 4 accidents on the same major street, in about a 6-7 mile span. and i can remember almost being killed when i had my motorcycle about 3 times cause of some other moron on the street. stuuupid people with no patience live in miami. BUT we do have FINE *** latin women. MMmMmMmmm Que rico.!!!

There was a news story here (seattle) about illegal drag racing, but as far as I know there have not been any major busts. It would suck to just be watching the races and get ticketed or arrested.
