a "myspace" question

I just started an account yesterday to check it out. So far I decided it sucks. So the thing is, I got a message from a girl in Tulsa, possible hot, and wanting to have dinner and coffee, and probably a few other things. I don't know who the **** she is, and she doesn't know who the hell I am, other than a goofy pic or two I posted in my profile. My question is, will I get messages like this all the time? Is this myspace some sort of date hotline for loosers? Or did I luck out?
