I like the 2x4 idea the best but I'd just box in the frame with some metal where it's needed if the rest of the truck is still in ok condition.



It's funny you post pic's of this kind of damage though. Up here in Minnesota I see a lot of old Japanese trucks that look like they are ready to break in half behind the cab and in front of the box. They must have used real shitty metal or didn't prep it well back in the 80's
