Jim I FEEL YOUR PAIN, and I am here to offer a solution. You have a Dakota as a "TOW VEHICLE". Calling a dakota a "tow vehicle" is in the same league as calling your Econobox a "racecar".
The solution: Ditch the dakota and get a REAL tow vehicle. (ie something powered by a CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL, do NOT get a powerjoke or a durasmack poewred POS [these are not REAL diesels])
Once you obtain a CTD, equip it with a few bombs (Turbo-diesel mods) That way when your are driving around town all you have to do is push the loud pedal and envelope the offending ricer in a cloud of black smoke and leave them choking at the light!
My simple solution. John

But my Dakota drives like a car and that is important to my wife who drives it all week long. It towes my RX-7 effortlessly. It is rugged enough to tow my car and civil enough to go out to dinner in.
If I want to race I will drive my TII. My truck is not a race car.
I guess you make a valid point but the fact is this is what I choose to tow with and quite honestly anything bigger would be overkill for my demands. It doesn't just do an adequat job it gets the job done with out a problem.
Have you ever driven this platform Dakota/ Dugango? They are so smooth to drive. They handle and ride like cars. I am not a big fan of a big smelly loud truck. Like I said my truck has to serve 2 purposes.

I had almost the same truck, except I purchased the "competion edition" or something of the sort. It was Dodge's special line commemerating their return to Nascar. Four door Dakota w/ V8 Red with factory black wheels, blacked out tires, and small racing flags on the doors. Just imagine how bad it was with that. I traded it in for a Chevy Silverado 2500HD, suddenly they didn't want to race any longer, they just want ed to get out of my way really quickly.

When I see other trucks with decals on them depicting an affiliation to a race team I do not feel obligated to impress them with whatever car I am driving at the moment.
If that is all it takes to get a rise out of these idiots they are truly pathetic. If anyone ever asks why there is so much hatred towards ricers, well, here you go.

poor jim,
what happens when you drive the rx7 around then? all i get is mustangs cutting me off on the highway.
Maybe it is better to take the stcikers off and go with a licence plate only...
btw can i have you track wheels for the TII? where did u get them?
