My Next Plan.

KEP makes a kit to use the stock bug tranny...allthough I'd probably track down a Type II tranny instead as it'll last a bit longer.
I can make a bug heater work decently enough.
Radiator piping is a pain, but I've seen guys use parts off a Feiro(sp?) as it ran the radiator up front, I'd change to an aluminum fuel tank. Use an electric water pump.
I'd either convert to IRS or get a 69 or later.
I'm thinking of doing a rotary powered Type II if I ever have money. Or a Type III. Rotary powered Notchback, yeah that would kick ***.

True enough, allthough I really do like the notion. Rotary powered fastback or squareback would be interesting, allthough fitting the engine would be a pain if you wanted to keep the stock lid in the back.
Rotary powered transporter could be interesting as well.
I'm still kicking myself for not buying that Type III Ghia when I had the chance. I coulda got the money!

Good luck finding one! I tracked one down but the previous owner had beat it to death beyond what I was willing to fix.
Shoulda snagged the safari windows.
I had a '63 Ragtop Bug. *sniffs*

yeah idbe getting a 69-71 bug. ive found a couple near me that are around 500 or so bucks. i could either mount the rad up front, or ive seen of some people who use radiators and intercoolers as spoilers, but thats pretty pricing.
