It takes a lot of practice. I noticed a HUGE difference when I started playing every day. I play at least a half hour every day, usually more. I take my little rover with me when I work and play for a full 8 hours LOL
I am going to start some lessons here in the next couple weeks to learn some musical theory and help identify the areas i can improve.

Well I waivered on this one, but decided that I would go for a cheaper Epiphone Les Paul and buy a Gibson down the road when I'm good enough to have the better guitar make difference.
