Took a trip to NC with my friends wife. Friends a marine missed his bus to his base and they had to get him there somehow. So the trip went fine all the way up there and didnt have a problem til coming back and we get almost to florence SC. I start smelling something sweet tell her to get off at the next exit. Pull into a gas station once the smoke cleared found the water pump to be fucked. Spun it by hand and i was surprised the fan didnt go into the rad. Now were driving an 84? dodge ramcharger, if anyone remembers i worked on it for him before and posted pics of it. so anyway its like 9pm i have no tools and were just stuck. I start asking all the people, track down a shop and find out theres a parts place 6 miles away. I walk to get parts place is closed so got to go back in the morning. we try and sleep in the truck, she wakes me at 2:30 telling me shes freezing her *** off and wishing we could cuddle. So we walk to a motel. get up in the morning get parts, get the truck to the shop. After working on it a while they come in tell us the gasket for the WP is wrong, luckily they were nice to give us a ride for a correct one.. get that all fixed drive a few hours. well guess what i smell something sweet again! ******* heater hose busted we pulled off on the worst exit but there was a nice old man at this car wash to tell me theres a napa down the road 1/2 mile we walk there to get the heater hose, well the girl forgot her purse in the truck.. so we get back and after overheating twice the old rad lines are of course melted and deff not going to work so walk back to napa get enough **** to replace it all. After working on it a lil bit. i had only a shitty little screw driver and a knife. Finaly its all done and ready to roll, except im in a rush and forget about the thermostat.. pull off at next exit and rads boiling over im quickly reminded its there.. so now its dark and i still have no tools or anyhting else. wait an hour let the bitch cool down and we were so tired of everything we just drove it to where there was suppose to be a parts store but we passed a walmart first. Go in there i get some tools and **** and yank the thermostat in the parking lot.

Now i have blisters on my feet that opened while walking and took off a good bit of skin they wont stop bleeding and ones infected. Next time ill wear shoes i can walk in..

Now ive been home a few days and i just felt like going out. Go to the vert to start it up and notta just spinning over real fast its to dark to see and i just dont ******* care right now.

Wut is the end of the world exactly, I'm trying to put my finger on that one. It's all relative I guess, somewhere there's some rich dude bitching cause his limo driver quit.

I'd say you got a nice walk with a lady companion and a couple blisters to remind you of the event.

Somewhere there's a Kevin lying in bed fucked up on painkillers because of some backwoods retard trying to blind him. Problems are problems, yes, there's always someone out there with worse ones, but you can't feel their pain. Because of that, all problems that personally affect you hit the hardest.

Hey I feel the dude's pain with a screwdriver in his eye, honestly right now I feel like I feel the worlds pain, but that aside, I got a hard time accepting's Seppuku's blisters and a bad tstat as a crisis.

Put things into perspective or something else will, trust me. 2 weeks from now you'll have a ganggreen from a shaving nick and you'll think to yourself.... god I was all upset about having to walk 5 miles.

I need to spend some time in a home making rope soled shoes and taking happy pills.

It is interesting how some people and families endure terrible tragedies one after another while others are allowed to go through most of their lives blissfully unscathed. As I get further down the path of this life, I find that I have many, many blessings for which I should be thankful. That's not to say there isn't a bump in the road every now and then, but all in all, it's been a good run. Life has a way, every so often, of teaching us a hard lesson in humility. We should take a moment to appreciate the good things in our lives, and at the same time, consider the less fortunate among us; for there, but for the grace of God, go I.
