I just traded my sons baby Kart and some cash for this full on racing kart. Its a Kali Kart with a Yamaha 100cc engine. This gearing it had on it made it capable to hit close to 100MPH. It also has a Nitro clutch. The best way to describe the centrifical clutch is that it works like a stall converter. When you hit a dialed in RPM it locks up and throws your head back!!
I took it for a spin through the neighborhood. Holy Sh*t! It scared me it was so fast.
I have since geared it down and added a more restrictive pipe. My son is 10 so this will be one to grow into.

This is one of tha advantages to daddy being a motorhead and addicted to Autocross. I got the Kid Autocrossing in the Kart. This way I can tell the wife we are spending quality time together.
I wish my dad got me into racing at such a young age. He used to be sponsored by Ford and di 1/4 mile. Held some local track records too.

The gearing I have in it now will slow it to about 45MPH I have also put a very restricive muffler on it. He used to Autocross a 12 y/o Alchohol Briggs Kart. It used to be a circle track kart. It would go about 50 MPH. He does pretty good. He memorizes the courses well. As hard as this is to believe I have to yell at him to push the Kart faster. He is very cautious. Which is good from a parent standpoint.
