Just had a thought, I am using the stock single barrel carb... on a motor that has been bored .040. Wonder if the carb just can't keep up.

Well the carb could be holding it back if its not jetted right and not getting the right amount of fuel. I've heard of bigger motors with smaller carbs that needed some torque but wanted fuel mileage so they ran just a single carb. It definitely should be richened up since the new motor is bigger and tighter, and should require more fuel.

Sorry 13BAce, you can have him back-
