my buddy is leaving for the marines next year. he bought a beater car to drive, his nice car is a 1995 honda del sol with the 1.6 liter dohc vtec. its a quick *** car, its all paid off too, it has 110,000 miles on it and hes selling it for 6,800.00 , i love the way it looks, for the price hes selling it at i am really interested in it, i only owe 2600 on my 88 gxl. should i sell my gxl,pay it off and then purchase the del sol, i love the way the del sol looks and the back window goes down, hehe its kewl, if i purchased the car i could possibly get a loan to super charge it or turbo charge it, it has high milage but its been driven very very easy for the most part? i cant decide, its a sexy car but so is my gxl, to me anyways, lol all opinions appreciated

I will agree with you on they are quick cars (for NA ... cant even compete with my TII) untill about 50mph, then all power is pretty much lost. I would say if you like the looks and you like it, buy it. But if you're looking for a race car, you are choosing the wrong car.

your gonna pay 6,800 for a 95 del sol. your getting ripped off, esp. with that many miles on it. theres gonna be so much wear and tear going on with that car u'll invest at leat 2000 more. my cousins 95 del sol with less miles is starting to break down (BTW, shes a chick who drives it). thats my .02 cents

The Del Sol will easily do 200,000 miles and most honda owners know that, so I wouldn't worry too much about the mileage.
If you like it... do it.
I wouldn't even worry or care about what anyone else thinks.

A Del Sol....err....a Honda Del Sol to replace an RX-7???
Del Sol Honda
That car is a shitbox, the ONLY honda I would remotely consider
would be the S2000 and I would still keep the 7, RWD is a necessity.
FWD automobiles are similar to old folks having sex; slow and sloppy.

you cant get rid of your 7 for a xhondax. if you do you will most likely be banned from this site forever. if you can get a loan to turbo or super it why do you just get a loan to buy it. i dont know about the chick car thing though, it is a vtec
