A guy 5 houses down from me yelled at me at the top of his lungs "Slow down *******!!" I was in my mini and looked down immediatly at my speedo and was doing 23 in a 25. I slammed on my brakes and backed up. He about **** himself. I asked him WTF the problem was and he told me I was speeding. I told that he was full of it and that I was going 23 MPH I looked when he yelled. He started yelling at me again. Making sure the whole neighborhood heard. Saying something about his 5 y/o running in the yard.

I proceeded to inform him I have kids and I am the last person who would ever speed on my own street then I drove on. It was clear to me I was dealing with a moron.

He rents and I think this is his first house that does not have wheels on it.
ever seen that commercial (Celica ?) did it looks so fast even when it's park and the cop wants to give it a ticket when it is fully stopped.

sounds like it LOOKS like it is going faster than it really is.

the guy is still a toolbox

Same thign happened to me. I just apologized and he kept yelling and yelling. Usually when you act stupid and just agree with them they dont make a big deal about it but he started saying stuff that didnt make sense. I said, i'm sorry and he yells "DONT TELL ME TO CALM DOWN." Anyways he calls my friends house i left from and chew their parents out and demands they give him my number and name but they dont and yell at him back. I probably shouldve stood up for myself more but i'm not used to having people freak out at me like that and i wasnt even going fast so i was thrown off a bit more.

I re-enacted it later and i was only goign 31mph in a 25. at 8:45 on a sunday evening...

Yeah lots of kids to hit at that time fo the night.

I usually stop as well, I ask what the problem seems to be. Then when berrated about how I am speeding, I ask when was the last time they had their eyes calibrated. Most people assume they can judge speed and distance. It was the worst when I owned my '66 El Camino, it had dual 3 inch exhaust, at idle the thing would set off most car alarms as I rolled through my neigborhood.

Only once I got yelled at to slow down, I had to be driving 15mph or so

it did **** me off enough to back up,roll the window down and tell the

guy to go **** himself.

you should pull out the good old lousiville slugger too next time u stop and get out of the car.

I had my baseball gear after playing company ball and dropping a coworker off. Same **** happened to me in my rx7. I stopped, backed up. Got out of the car with my easton aluminum hardball bat.

Then proceed to ask politely, do you have aproblem sir? i don't have one, but if you've got beef, i sure would like to settle things. I'm not a person who leaves things unattended to. So sir, do you care to repeat what you just yelled? I didn't catch all you said.

He didn't say a thing, he was white as a ghost and said no sir with the quiest voice ever.
