No they really are not freaky at all , at least IMO, they are really beutiful fish to have.

yeah, mine was a simple cheap silver. and it still looked nice. once u get into the greens, reds and golds with red tails, thats where the money comes into a play. a gold with a red tail that is 3 inches starts out at 300 bucks. and that was about 5-6 years ago. i wonder how much they would be now.

Why Ive never owned one, to expensive and never had a tank to house a 20" fish. Silver still looks cool though.

60 gallon to 100 gallon is fine. just gotta limit its size by feeding it pellets rather than feeders. im gonna check with the LFS and check if they still wanna trade tanks with me maybe try and get a cheap flower horn or something

yeah my friend has a huge one in his 100 gal. it is not only long but it is very wide. only thing to watch out with these fish, is them jumping outta the tank
