Austin Coopers of course.
My God what kind of English cars have you got over there? Mini's and Jag's reliable?!! Over here anyway old Jags were lucky to go 6 months without breaking down, and as for mini's owners used to hate driving in the rain because the car would cut out, due to the air intake being right over the wheel. Both cars at one point used lucas electrics which were notorious for breaking down.

Lucas really is the Prince of Darkness. My MG's wiring is a mess, even in a dry garage.

Lucas electrics are bad. But mini air intakes aren't over the wheel or even that close really.

Dunno about Left hand drive, but RHD mini's did - it's possible (probable?) that they could have moved the intake during the cars lifetime, would make sense. On the other hand, the problem was bad enough to earn the mini a reputation, so who knows.

I own both a LHD and RHD mini and have tons of knowledge about them, and i'm telling you their intakes aren't over the wheels or close to anything that would cause water intake problems.

That's weird - I heard from a few people about the intake problem . It sounds like you know your stuff though and I've had no first hand experience with Mini's, so I'll concede this once

Those people must have got the car confused with something else. And joking a bit I said austin coopers were the most reliable. I should have also mentioned you need 2 of them for reliability. Although i've had pretty good luck with mine when compared to other people I know.

Yeah I use to have one of those. The key is finding one with the all rust hood.
