For me(and I live in California) I just went to www.dmv.ca.gov or was that www.dmv.gov.ca? I don't remember... ONE of those two will get you there! And they had a big fat link on the front page to check vanity plates! look around on your state's DMV page, you'll find it!

My old plate said 1SWEET7

I'm gonna go w/ REVNRX7, BOOSTD7, SPOOLD7, VTECSUX, WANKLER, 1QWKRX7, JSPECRX7, GOTWNKL, FASTAZL, or something similar...I have a big list somewhere....
