we are slowly winning the battle as the prices of CD's are now dropping, i read an article on it like last week, how the wholesale price on 90% of the artists will rop to $9.02, and the suggested price will be $12 or something, and higher up artistist will have like an $11 wholesale and $14 retail price.
i still think cd's should cost $9.99 in stores.
kevin.

I would rather spend my entertainment dollars on DVDs.
So does the rest of the world as DVD sales are skyrocketing.

They just expect us to fall in love with their stuff only cause they are the only ones that can offer it to us.

**** all that ****, they would sell DOUBLE the amount of DVDs if they just put the ******* movie on there and sold it for $9.99.
Music is crap, there is no reason why CDs shouldnt be $7.99, tapes were $7.99 and I bet they actually cost more to manufacture.
It boils down to pure greed on the recording industry, maybe if everyone took a pay cut they would end up making more money in the long run.
Like im going to spend my hard earned money so I can see them
waste it on stupid **** when I watch MTV cribs, lol.

Part of the problem is there is only 1 or 2 good/decent songs on a CD these days. The remainder are just crappy filler songs. I would venture to say I have about 100+ CD's in my collection. I have not purchased a new CD in about 1.5 years. The cost, the quality, and RIAA has turned me off to purchasing CD's completely.
