We pretty much did it to our selves. The car companies having issues sell **** cars to begin with. I mean really have you looked at the GM line up of cars, the same thing 5 different ways.. If you didnt like it the first time theres not much luck on changing badges and selling it as something else. The cobalt i have is the cheapest peice of **** ive ever seen. Worse then the 03 cavalier my brother had and that takes a lot. And with almost every other company thats "american" the operations are else where. I just got my brand new chinese dell... All the money made goes back into someone elses economy. They dont create jobs just products no one here can buy.
nothing says unique like the Mazda line, they all look like the same car
how the **** can a accounting change result in huge profits?
"hey Chin-Wah I think I found some deductions we did not think of before"
"oh very good, master will be very happy"

the governement does this all the time. you just change the rules, gdp not growing enough? lets ignore some stuff, see now look, 2% growth!
unemployment, inflation etc are the same way....

What the real problem is is the NAFTA. Why buy an American car when you could buy a Japanese car for cheaper with better quality? You go overseas, and American cars are super overpriced because of tarriffs. We need to start making it CHEAPER to buy DOMESTIC- the way it is everywhere else in the world!

I must say Ford is doing a great job of quality lately. They have seriously upped the quality of their cars. I can even tell a difference between my '01 Focus and '06 Focus.
Chrysler isn't doing too great- my dad's Charger has been in the shop twice in the past year with wierd issues.

Oh and that's ******* retarded too. We need to OUST the UAW. Period! And we need to make American cars cheaper to buy that foreign cars. Why was my Focus more expensive than a car built halfway around the world? Figure in shipping costs and it's outrageous. If KIA can make a car and send it here and sell it for under $9k, why was my Focus, built in Mexico, with NO options $4k more?
