the term rice is in my opinion "modding" any vehicle that is not even worth it or making it into something it's not, i.e parkbench on civic... it's not rwd and prolly doesn't have the top speed to require such a mod. the intake, exhaust, and suspension work on this scion is kinda fazing it's real purpose. kinda like you said, it's a cool crusing car..well why the **** does it need an intake and exhaust? well prolly because toyota found that it was cheaper to put in a lower powered engine and throw on some neon pipes or whatever to up the power to normal and make it cheaper for them to build at the same time. i'm not saying that is the case with this specific car but you get what i'm saying. if it floats your boat then fine, otherwise let the tards look cool?

you know that theres different classes of cars

a full intake and exhaust system will help the power and response of any car, it might not be large...but whatever

i seriously cant see how people can call quality products "rice".... the exhaust and intake arent huge glasspacked mufflers that are loud, theyre sport tuned from facotry, theyre nice and subtle...the suspension isnt competition suspension for solo racing....its just a nice set of damping and stiffer springs....

"rice" is like, an ugly *** car with an ugly wings west or apc body kit with 30 flaps on them, and then horribly placed neons and an annoying louder than necessary exhaust..

but body kits when done right are hot....neons when done right look awesome, and exhaust when done right is of course great...

some people just have misinformation and bad tastes and mod their cars which turns into crap

i dont see how having a car that comes factory with parts is rice, mazdaspeed miata has tuned suspension and a turbo....must be rice

ugh and ps...that whole RWD / rear wing issue is beaten to death by everyone who dislikes GT wings on civics and shti like that...."oh god its FWD it doesnt need downforce on the rear wheels" cmon guys...on the track every car needs downforce, fwd or rwd or awd....

yea you are right for the most part, but my only point is that it's a intake, exhuast, and suspension on a caravan, not a miata which is already labeled a sports car...
