Anyone else read an article on Bush's new plan to set up a program for developing a moon colony by 2030? I don't like much of what comes out of that guy's mouth, but I thought it was an awesome idea. Hell, I'd live there if given a chance. I always did dream of being a colonist... Anyways, what do you all think? Let me see if I can find a link for the article...

Anyways, the article I read said 2030, this one says 2020. I like 2020 better, so let's go with that.

It's neat, I don't really know that there is a whole lot of benefit to it, but only time will tell.

I think it was moon base by 2020 and a human on Mars by 2030...

I personally love the idea. The Human Race or any Species in the Universe all face the same fate. Eventually the sun will expand and devour the earth and then die as do all suns and our world will be no more. This would go for any other Alien race out there in the galaxy. Our only chance to survive as a species is to become smart enough in the time we have on our planet to go live among the Stars and find a new home with out killing ourselves on the way there...

I thinks it great. Some would say that it's a waste of money but the billions of dollars the inventions generate far exceed the costs associated with space travel. Earth is boring. :-)

it'll become a vacation resort. If I had the money, I'd love to go in a huge air-filled dome. You could strap on wings and fly like a bird, and play even more lethal versions of jai alai!

I take it none of you saw Alien. I am staying here, on Earth.

But I bet you "space travelers" will probably bring all kinds of new diseases beck to earth with you. So, I may as well go too.
