actually it is. its my great grandmothers, along with the rest of the dinning set. we dont have the leafs any more tho

I like old stuff I hate new...all new stuff is all freakin' mdf and made to last only a couple years.

You can buy a solid oak table, but it costs way more than the MDF **** (because one guy spend 15 hours making it). Nobody wants to pay what it costs for decent furniture anymore. Hell, just decent wood is pretty pricey.

i concure wood even drastically changes the ride in a skate board too

Not true, they contain glue and laminate and screws and stuff too.



I got one it LOOKS like mohagony till you scratch through the paper thin laminate they use.. then its hard board! There is a place a couple of blocks away that builds solid wood stuff.. they charge some crazy prices but that stuff will last a long time, i guess for patio furniture it would be worth it.
