I was 19 and hated going to college and with no job outlook, it seemed like a good idea at the time. I have been in the USAF for 7.5 years its been a pretty good deal to me. I work in aircraft maintainence and its pretty demanding at times, I think the worse thing right is that we are undermaned and I am deployed pretty much all the time I just got back in June and I am heading back out this week.



Though I am glad that I went into the Air Force, over other branches of the military, I sometimes wish I did quite a bit more research before going into the job that i do.

i joined cause i was dumb. I drove M1Abrams and flew on CH47D helicopters. I got smart and got out, now i work for a civilian company doing the same thing. *IF* you want to go to Iraq or Afghanistan for over half of your enlistment...then by all means, join now.
