Alright, I am trying to find RX7 owners from Northwest Ohio and I thought maybe the members search feature might have a way to search based on location. However, if it does I am unable to find it.

Is this a feature we have on this site?

If not, is this a feature that would benefit this site?

Thanks

I don't think you can search via location as it is not exactly part of the stock software setup. Would it be useful? Honestly I would say less then half the members actually put their location into their profile LOL

Well, you could make it a requirement, I was just thinking it might make it easier for new people to get in contact with people in their area...of course if you don't want to be bothered by all the new people then the current setup is definetly better.

It's not a matter of being bothered, it's a matter of scaring off new members, some people aren't comfortable giving that kind of info out when they first sign up....

Yeah, that makes sense. I don't know, I'm just selfish and it is a feature I'd like to use, so I thought I would throw it out there and see what you thought. Oh well, there are other (more difficult) ways to find peoples in my area.

Thanks anyway phin

The location should be part of the For Sale ads though. And the search feature for members has a glitch, or maybe its just me, I tried searching a member name the other day and kept getting the first page of the member list.

The members search page is default set to "search all available", which you need to change to "name begins with" or "name contains"
