Well we finally got denied for any possibility of help on Amy's visit to the hospital, bills are sitting under $7,000 right now and we are working on establishing a payment plan with them. We got all the dr's paid off, we just owe the money to the hospital itself.

Thought I would give ya an update since it's been so long for all of this to get figured out.

I feel your pain although my circumstances are different. When we decided to have another kid no one would insure my wife. Here is the best part. My wife had a c-section with our first kid. No doctor will deliver the baby normally after that they force you to have another c-section. No insurance company will cover the second c-section. So, if we wanted another kid we had to pay all the bills. Our new sone cost just a tad over $12K.

Seems like the insurance companies and the doctors have a neat little plan worked out.

I hate the medical system of this country. I got into an argument with my wifes OBGYN over insurance. He was crying about how much it is and I laughed at him. I asked him if he owned a BMW. That pissed him off as he does.LOL! I pointed out thet the urologist I went to for my kidney stone drove a M-5 every day and had a Ferrari Modena in his garage at home. Doctors are not hurting for money. My wifes doctor was sort of pissed at me but saw my point. He is cool now.

What really pisses me off is, if we had insurance, the insurance company would have only paid about half what we have to.

I serisouly can't stand this ****. Hospitals and doctors claim that they took an oath and that they base their work on ethics but where are those ethics after they get you well. It seems that everything now a days is about money. These people have more then enough of it, let the little guy get something back for building your cars and roads and buidings, instead, they kick us in the *** when were struggeling the most.

Yea there's no getting ahead, I should have them submit it to my insurance, even though they wont pay, at least the insurance company would cut the bill in half.

Theres nothing I can do, when you have no insurance you pay full price, when you have insurance, the insurance companies sign a deal with the hospital to only pay a certain amount per item. So where the bill is $240 for the dr to come in and talk to you, the insurance company pays something like $70. But no insurance pays $240, they kick you while your down.

You need me to come out there and rectify the situation? I could also visit my family during my stay.
