good comparison

You know it buddy!

Tyson- They probably borrowed the AWD from another auto maker. Has mazda EVER had an AWD car?? I know they have had 4x4 with the bseries pick ups.

boxrs- shad'dup!

mazda had a all wheel drive 323

boxr- the MS version supposidly is only about $2000 or so more then the 215hp 6cyl one. I have a Mazda 6, and honestly with that much more power it would be a great car and I am still considering getting one. What I dont have faith in are the mechanics at my local dealer, they really dropped the ball on my 6 when it came to service, if it has to go back I will end up taking it to another dealer. unfortunetly other dealers can get a little bitchy when you bring a car in for service that they didnt sell you..........then again a chance to trash talk a competing dealer may over come that, lol

It will still be around $32000, for that money I will take my business elsewhere to a car that will get me better service and better resale.

Ford is banking alot on this chassis, Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, and the new Lincoln all ride on this chassis

gotcha. i didn't know it was only 2 grand more.. i remember looking at the 6's before i got my accord and for a nicely equipped one, i think it was 26k..

so, in other words.. buy a honda... better service, high resale.. and actually, you rarely need to get the car serviced..

I'd like to know how they ( or who?) developed the direct injection and the AWD system.

At least with the direct injection Audi is flogging these days you know they developed it with the R8 racecar over a period of years and proved it reliable. Mazda has not, and hasn't exactly dazzled us with the reliability of their sporty innovations for quite some time.

i'm a little foggy about this too. but the L series engine is used in a bunch of other cars (the mazda 3 is just a cheaper volvo), so its possible/ likely that the injection system is from volvo or something.

mazda has had awd systems for years, starting with the 323gtx, the 929 and millenia have room for awd and 4ws (but never had it in the usa), the tribute/escape uses a mazda designed system etc etc

car makers always like to do that ****. a chrylser 300 is a little more expensive than a charger is. but charger offers daytona packages, and frankly the srt8 charger is ****!!

i did not know that mazda had awd but i figured they would borrow it from another manfacturer instead of spending millions on a new system just for MS6.
