I personally think that concept looks like gabage, like ****, looks horrible.. I wouldnt buy one, and an even worse decision is to put a pistons in it, doesnt RX stand for rotary experiment? WTF.

why is everybody so hung up on a new rx7

its not going to happen people

youre all stuck in the 90s, the world has turned

get excited for the latest car released with 13bs under new technology, who gives a **** about some new car with NO RX7 STYLING influences while using the cop-out "RX7"

if you like your rx7 so much, you should be wishing they dont release a new one

i had a chance to put 800miles on an rx8 and its everything an updated gsl-se should be, which is good, cause my gsl-se is tired....

I'd just assume not see another RX7. It would be impossible to one-up the FD that the average person could afford. Besides, like stated above, Ford wouldnt do it.

I like the idea of a two-door, lightweight, rotary powered, n/a car. I.E. an RX8 sans the back seats.. Maybe a 3-rotor renesis in a coupe. That'd be hot.

the whole point of the rx8 was to let ford test the waters with another rotary car after the fiasco that was the rx7 (in north america)

it'd be cool if the car came with rotary and piston engines as options, thats old school mazda right there

Give me a break. People said the same thing about the VW Beetle, Dodge Charger, Chevy Impala, Pontiac Trans Am, Ford Thunderbird, Ford GTO, Shelby Cobra etc. etc..

Don't be so naive to say never. Trends have a tendency to repeat themselves.

Agreed. Although, likening the rx7 to a few of the above cars is a bit of a stretch.

Feel free to explain to me how the discontiuned RX7 is unlike any of the previously discontiuned cars I mentioned ? It is a car with four wheels that is no longer being made, much like all the cars I mentioned. They were all cars that were dropped from their manufactuers line up at one point for some reason or another and then reintroduced as new model cars. Some of them were though to be long gone such is the stance that I see commonly taken about RX7. Never the less they all made it back to production.

Often I read someones comments about how Ford executives would never allow Mazda to persue a fourth generation Rx7. This is ignorant just on the basis that Ford fires and hires just like any other company. One cannot predict the future and one only looks foolish attempting to do so.
