I may be selling my TII this weekend, if the buyer is still interested. I've decided that I'm sick of the poor college student lifestyle, so I'm making a couple changes. I'll only be 7-less for a few months, but it may just kill me. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

75 Repu 07-24-2003 05:14 PM

Sux, but if it can get your life going in a better direction, then more power to ya..

rotarychainsaw 07-24-2003 05:17 PM

Bah, just dont waste whatever money you get on booze for that girl. yeah you know the one I'm talkin about...

UniqueTII 07-24-2003 05:18 PM

Nicky says we'll never be more than friends, so f* her and her booze! j/k https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

rotarychainsaw 07-24-2003 05:19 PM

Download 'Stacey's Mom' by fountains of wayne.

Its pretty catchy.

SpecialT 07-24-2003 05:21 PM

It's ok, as long as the "poor college kid lifestyle" turns into the

well off educated guy . . you'll be fine.

If selling the car helps you get there faster, so be it.

UniqueTII 07-24-2003 05:26 PM

I don't need the money for school (hey, we can all afford $20K in tuition, right? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR) but it'll get me caught up on everything and I can hopefully get a car that needs less stuff a little further down the road. I found the car, I just need to get a price and stuff. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

j9fd3s 07-24-2003 05:55 PM

well good luck ed, i hope that it works out for ya

mike

UniqueTII 07-24-2003 06:00 PM

Thanks Mike. I'll be back better than ever soon enough. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

WishIhadaRX7 07-24-2003 06:03 PM

wow, it seems like a lot of people on this forum are selling their cars all of a sudden, weird

75 Repu 07-24-2003 06:05 PM

Yeah, I have considered that too.. But as we all know sometimes the 7's can require too much attention when you are trying to focus on other parts of life..

UniqueTII 07-24-2003 06:09 PM

Yeah, I can't give it all it needs right now. It'll be in good hands, too.

Rotarydragon 07-24-2003 06:10 PM

I'm going to miss your car Ed. I almost feel like it's mine lord knows it was in my garage enough.

Turbo II 07-24-2003 06:12 PM

damn ed, if ur planning on getting another turbo ii, good luck, cause none will ever be the same as yours, i wuold know cause thats how i feel. might as well take the big step after that and get an fd or something. good luck on selling the car this weekend

UniqueTII 07-24-2003 06:15 PM

Hey RD, I'll have Maz bring it by and leave it for months at a time...for old time's sake. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

TII, I don't really fit in FDs, so I'll just have to suffer with another S4 TII...LOL.

Repu, yeah, the kid says he's upgrading the fuel system first if he takes it...good sign.

s4 is the best!

phinsup 07-24-2003 06:50 PM

Ya gotta do watcha gotta dooo!

vosko 07-24-2003 07:16 PM

sucks........you better get a S5

Rotarydragon 07-24-2003 09:12 PM

Don't worry I'll make sure he gets an S5 https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

TURBOX2 07-24-2003 09:33 PM

I know the feeling...i am about to start my third year of college and the fd messed up my priorities (grades and education) a little bit last year, but now i am back on track so i am sure you can do it man. Good Luck!!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

UniqueTII 07-25-2003 03:42 AM

No S5 for me...I don't like the seatbelts.

94touring 07-25-2003 03:51 AM

I understand totally, hope it works out for the best.

Rotarydragon 07-25-2003 06:56 AM

Buy an S5, I'll retrofit the old seatbelts. I seriously doubt Mazda changed the body to remove the mount points just to put in that silly "mouse" seatbelt.

sunshine 07-25-2003 11:14 AM

Hey Ed...I cant believe I'm reading this. It makes me sad. I know how you feel though. I've supported my FC through 4 years of undergrad, 1.5 years of part time grad, and now, starting in the fall, another 3 years of law school.

In 3 years, I will buy her a full restoration. Is it worth it?? To me - hell yeah.

I've got an N/A though...so its not as bad as your TII.

1Revvin7 07-25-2003 11:19 AM

Damn that sux, hope it doesn't happen to me https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

banzaitoyota 07-25-2003 11:20 AM

Because you said "third year" I'm wondering, you go to UVA?

'03 Hoo myself.

UniqueTII 07-25-2003 02:51 PM

Alex, I was considering a full resto, but I can't afford it right now and I don't want to let the car sit. The kid I'm selling it to says he's going to fix everything on the car, so hopefully he realizes what it's going to take. I've listed off everything the car needs...I'm certainly not holding anything back on him.

1revvin7, you seem to be a whole lot better with money than I am, so don't worry yourself. I couldn't even make ends meet when I lived with my parents, and now I've got quite a bit more expenses than I had then.

rent sucks

UniqueTII 07-25-2003 03:12 PM

Yeah, especially when I'm paying $600 a month just for me. I'm moving into a cheaper (cheaper for me, $1260 total), nicer place next week with 2 roommates, so that'll help my situation a bit. Internet is included there, too...that'll be nice.

Rotarydragon 07-25-2003 03:31 PM

Don't worry too much Ed, I'll sit in the passenger seat of the Subaru and make blow off valve noises every time you shift.

Or maybe we should start a "buy Ed a nightpager" fund?

Rob x-7 07-25-2003 05:30 PM

on to better things, in life and vehicles. I dont think I would still

own my car if I had to drive it all the time, these cars can get on your

nerves after a few years, lol

Exactly, that's the road I'm taking!!!

UniqueTII 07-26-2003 01:08 AM

Yeah, this car is definitely getting on my nerves. Of course, driving the Subaru all the time is even worse, so I guess I need a new DD too. I may be getting another MX-6 (1st gen) soon, so that'll help with the daily commute.

UniqueTII 07-28-2003 11:08 AM

The kid flaked out on me twice now...it's getting on my nerves even more than the car did.

vosko 07-28-2003 11:15 AM

how much are you selling to him for ?

UniqueTII 07-28-2003 11:26 AM

~$2700. Talk about losing my ass.
