So anyway I'm ridiculously happy with my g/f etc etc and am waiting for the right time to propose. I've been thinking about how to propose, where to, when to, etc etc a lot lately including looking at rings. Well I've finally got a couple really good ideas in mind but figured this could be a fun topic knowing you guys.
so either write how you proposed/were proposed to/ or just make some crap up.

I proposed during a pittsburgh steelers game back in 02, we won the game and i had pizza and my gf at the time was looking at bridal magazines and such so i just reaced in my pocket grabbed the ring and when she was jummpin for joy over the game for me i poped the question and she went nuts ha ha!!!! sad however I am divorced now but still i love my story about it. I was 20 and she was 18 at the time so yes i know we were prob too young for the marriage thing but hey it happens so just leave it be. i had a blast bein married too just too bad it didnt work out for me... but thats my story hope ya enjoy it.. oh PS when i said it she jumped soo high it was soo funny into my arms and i nearly was knocked over by her cause she was soo excited lol.... then of course my phone's battery was dead in notime flat afterwards!!!

I just took her to dinner at about the nicest place in town, went for a walk down around the riverfront, and when we stopped for a minute, she sat down on a bench and I got down on one knee and popped the question. She totally wasn't expecting it, but she said yes. That was almost six years ago and I haven't regretted it for a minute. I hope she hasn't either! We've got two sons and a good life together. I wish you all the luck in the world.

get the ring, wait until you do something really stupid, then whip it out, it's a freebie.
Say she comes home to find you parked the car in the living room and installed a new "skylight" in the process, u can whip out the ring and boom yer free.
Either that or wait until she's asleep, throw your foot into her back and push out of bed, when she jumps up and says "what the **** did you do that for" you can say "just wanted to get your attention, will you marry me?"

Yer funny. I think we should get Amy to chime in here, you romantic guy, you. I have a feeling that's not the way it went down when you proposed to her.
