Hope you're not planning on waterskiing behind it. Jet-boats suck *** for waterskiing. Having no propellor, you can pull the back end of the boat around almost as easily as behind a jetski. I bet you could drop the boat speed 10 mph+ with even a mild slalom pull.

Regardless, congrats on the purchase. At least you didn't buy a damn water mosquito. <_<

Good luck with it then, if you need any Mercruiser parts, let me know, and if you god forbid should smack it up, let me know as well.

I will be waterskiing off of it. The boat does 60mph. Even with -10mph that is plenty fast enough for a slalom pull

Will do. Thanks.

Ok, rather, I hope you don't plan to get very good at waterskiing behind it.

If you're slaloming at 50 mph you're insane. I'm just saying if you're doing a normal 36 mph slalom run, carving it up behind the boat, it is going to take one *hell* of a driver (if it's even possible) to keep the boat straight and on-speed. Whereas my dad's old outboard which was a 140 hp, maxed out at 45 mph (with no skiier) would probably be a much better waterskiing boat (because it had a prop).

I'm a tournament skier, so I'm a little more nit-picky than most. Gotten a little too used to my friends' high-end ski boats. I'm sure for your purposes it will do just fine.
