First off, mac's can accept just about any hardware you want to throw at it, that includes two button mice, cordless mice/keyboards, etc. That also means ram, hard drives, disc drives, video cars (For the most part) and quite a bit of other options.

To compare speeds of a mac to speeds of a pc is like comparing a rotary to a standard piston engine, sure, they both make the car go forward, and sure, you can make both of them really fast, but which one does it better or who does it stronger? The rotary IS the mac of cars, so before you start giving yourself a handjob in congratulatory celebration over such an incredibly well versed post, think about what you're saying.
So, let me get this straight. I can buy a Mac and put all of my PC hardware onto it? So, for about 7 or 8 times what I paid for this computer (hey, thanks vosko) I can have the same damn thing with a pretty little apple on it? Your rotary computer analogy is weak, so you can stop patting yourself on the back now. Trying to get us to like Macs just on the comparison to our quirky little engines is lame as ****, so try putting some facts into your lecture next time. I guess it's your turn for a "handjob in congratulatory celebration".

Wow....this is such a gem here:

The fastest drag cars are piston powered...hell, trains are piston powered. Good point, I'm keeping my PC.

if you're doing any kind of rendering a PC is a fuggin joke.
actually.......Macs are great at photoshop/illustrator, but hardly ANY CAD/rendering programs are available for Mac...only FormZ and Cobalt/Vellum Solids that I know of...

The more powerful ones like Pro-E, Solidworks, Alias, Rhino are only available for pc

The way I see it, people should use whatever makes them feel comfortable and does their specific job best and leave it at that. I love my PC (I used Macs first, and then switched) and people love their Macs, so it's all good. I just like to give people crap.

As for the MS comments, I like MS products too, although sometimes they do weird things. I like to write VB and I like to use Access and Excel at work. Sure, there's probably other stuff I could use and I may like it too, but the best part is how Access/Excel/Outlook all go together so easily. It's nice to have my databases talk to my email, and it has saved me countless hours of work here in my office.

You get what you pay for

Don't try to do anything high end audio or video on a PC.

Define "high end audio or video" please.

Oh, and as for "you get what you pay for", how about only paying for what you need? Now there's a novel idea.

Well that settles it then! If Mac OS is easier to use drunk, then it rocks! End of discussion.

Well, as a professional Graphic Designer, I live in the Mac world. PCs do have their virtues, but for me, Mac is the only way to go. Although, I do like the right-click on PCs.

[baby] "Waahhaa ... I don't know anything about Macs ... So Mac sux! I'm just gonna declare it as a fact even though I don't know a damn thing about it!" [/baby] Notice the cool spelling of "sucks".

Like I said, for Graphics programs Mac is Superior.. The answer to the question of why they are still in business, is because they are a smart company, they would come up with plans like giving Macs to schools.. Then the kids would become used to their system , and grow up and buy one of those.. The other plan was making them look purty and add colors.. that made it more marketable than the PC's simple colors being offered by the main companies.. It became popular and then they had power in the industry again... The fact that Windoze sucks, helped them too since lots of people hated thier system crashing all the time..
