i think you got lucky with yours bc everyone else ive ever talked to said theirs was junk too. my gf takes pretty good car of her car, its not her fault that it keeps screwing up, it just does bc ford was cheap when building it. how can you say they arent cheap when they used the same chassis (and most of the same interior parts) for 20 years before changing it with this latest design
my 89 vert is more reliable, and has been for me for 3 years, than her pos 95 rustang... and thats saying something.

you could spend 15 grand on an fd with low mileage and the same on a mustang...
odds are, if driven the same, the mustang will outlast the fd by about 80-100,000 miles with the stock engine..
from what i have seen, most fd owners are due for a rebuild or new engine every 60-80,000 miles.. i know plenty of mustang owners that have gone well over 130-160,000.. myself being on of them.. a friend of mine had one with 140,000 miles and was running nos.. it still runs fine..
i just don't see how it can be called a pos, especially from rotary owners... some who dump half their income into keeping their engine running for another year...
the rx may use better leather, better brakes, tires, etc.. than a mustang, but which will run longer, and cheaper for a lesser price ?

and im not flaming the rotary. i plan on getting an fd when i can afford one as my weekend driver or an fc vert. but nothing more..
its just seems contradictory coming from a lot of people who go through several engine swaps on the same car.
the difference i think may be this : mustang owners hate their cars when they break, rotary owners know its going to happen, but their cars look way cooler, so don't look at it as a headache
