ok i'm in a grizzly mood! all this teeth pulling has got me in compare scar mode!

most grizzled hospital experiance: i got bitten by a dog, on my upper lip and nose, i had to assist the dr in stitching my face up. as a side note novacaine lasts about .35423seconds in your face

vosko 10-24-2003 12:23 PM

i tried to cut the tip of my finger off. that's about the only time i've ever been to a hospital

9BASE3 10-24-2003 12:37 PM

Blew out left knee. Had 50% of Miniscus removed. Tore ACL in right knee... That's 2 surgery experiences.. Got a disease when I was 7 that hospitalized me for a month... Pherpera (SP?) Basically my body attacked itself and tried to bleed to death.. It was some pretty scary ****. Everything that came out of me was blood. Not really a surgery or Scar... But pretty damn cool.

Stitches... Lets see.. In my head 18+8+6+4+11 (I get my head bashed in alot)

22 in my knee (I thought running and sliding across a mud puddle on cardboard would be fun) Of course I founf the ONLY piece of glass in the yard..

another 8 in my knee from surgery

Broke my left wrist... Casted for 2 months...

Oh and best of all? I got stung DIRECTLY IN MY DICKHOLE by a ******* wasp. I passed out. ...Seriously. Couldn't piss for a week... Had to get a catheder BOO

ditto, I actually laughed out loud.

When I was 3 weeks old, one of my sphincter muscles in my intestinal tract wouldn't open fully. Projectile vomiting occurred. The opened me up, the dr. wiggled his finger into the muscle to open it, and evidently that all you have to do to make it work. So I have this gnarly scar on my stomach; looks like someone cut me open with a butterknife.

Got road rash from several bicycle wrecks, one got infected, so I now have this bubble-like scar on my elbow.

75 Repu 10-24-2003 12:43 PM

I have this scar on my right wrist.. Seven stitches..

My dad punched the ball return at a bowling alley. Yeah, he broke his hand. Anger issues.

Yet he's been in the wood-working business for like 25 years, and has all his fingers. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

PhoenixDownVII 10-24-2003 12:50 PM

It was Friday the 13th, I was wearing a Dan Marino Dolphins Jersey (#13)...

...8th grade, First week of school. Gym class. The stage was set: Playing "Everybody's It" (Where you tag anyone/everyone and you sit in the spot you got tagged) on the newly waxed gym floor. The game boils down to me and one other kid. I'm weavin, I'm bobbin, I'm driftin around people like an Rx7 in E-Town.....when alluva sudden, as I am turning to avoid capture....New Nike's slip out from under me (damn 2" of wax)....BAM!

....so he tags me as I fell...I lean over to get up..."whoa my arm just bent in half between my elbow and my wrist"...but I black out for a sec, shake my head...and think nothing of it and go to get up when I notice my left arm limping, broke both bones that run from your wrist to your elbow.

Needless to say the coach of my class didn't believe it so I had to basically hold my arm together (well straight) and walk to the nurses office.

8 weeks with a mold cast and 2 pins in my arm/hand. Then 6 weeks (I think) of a normal cast. This was when N64 just came out, so I was lucky I could still hold the controller at an angle to play Mario 64 all morning (good times...good times...)

That's it....well...except for the experiment they ran on me...they tried replacing my bones with Adamantium...I can't quite remember what happend....

Drift_It 10-24-2003 12:57 PM

When I was young I got ecoli (sp) and almost died. I had 6 different sets of stitches in my head from jumping on the bed. Two of those times were in the exact same spot. I bumped my head on the faucet in the bath when I was little and developed a hemotoba and had surgery on the back of my head. When I skated I tore all the ligaments and tendons in my right ankle.

phinsup 10-24-2003 12:57 PM

Wow, if went individual scars I could be here all day.

Surgeries, when I was 9 I had a hernia operation, 4 inch scar on left side below waste line.

A few years ago I had a kidney biopsy, 6 or 7 inch scar on right side of lower back.

Cut and had stitches in my right pointer finger 3 times, my thumb twice, left pointer once and crushed a knuckle on the my right hand, finger next to the pinky.

I think as far as stiches go that about does it.

phinsup 10-24-2003 12:58 PM

Oh yea one on my left thumb from a slide action 22 and one on my in calf from camping or something I don't remember.

94touring 10-24-2003 12:59 PM

Ok ok I got the best, but its not really a scar...emotional scar maybe. Shouldn't even be mentioning it but here goes. About a month back I got a clogged vain that wrapped about 3/4 around my "love stick", just below the head. Aparantly this isn't that odd of a thing and it eventually worked itself out after a few weeks. Felt like I had a chord under the skin that you could literally grab and move around.

Turbo II 10-24-2003 12:59 PM

i think it was called becoming circumsized!

I didn't realize how much was involved until my son was born. Evidently, some doctors are a lot better than others. nurse: "who's doing your son's? oh yeah? he's really good!"

....and what about the other poor kids who don't get that doctor? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png

HA HA, nice one.

Yea my, buddy had a circumcision gone wrong, he ended up having to have two of them done at a later date and man was it painful. He of course did not want to tell any of us about it, but when you are waddling around all day it's either tell your friends or let them come up with their own story LOL

I hyper-extended my forearm, broke both the radius and ulna and the forearm was folded over itself. Worst part was having the firemen hold me down while the set the arm back in place with no pain killers.

well on a serious note, the only scar i have is a P on my hand, its barely noticable now. i did get 3rd and 2nd degree burns when i was like 16 but no scars came outta it

UniqueTII 10-24-2003 01:40 PM

No surgery, no broken bones, and just 3 scars. I guess I'm lucky.

I have a J shaped scar on my forehead from falling in a gravel driveway, a J shaped scar on my finger from playing with razor blades, and a nice one on my nose where I smacked the arm of a chair running through my dining room. 1/2" either way and I probably would have lost an eye...talk about lucky.

As for emotional scars...okay, so I'm not that lucky.

defprun 10-24-2003 01:45 PM

I almost lost an eye when this chick threw this 2x4 at my face and there was a nail sticking out of it...the nail came within 1/2 inch from my eye!!!

That was freaky, and in the same grade, i wasnt holding onto a see-saw and this fat broad jumped on it, and i landed face first on the metal thing in the middle! DOH!

SpecialT 10-24-2003 01:45 PM

Well, I was a really accident prone kid.

I've had stitches twice, one above my left eye.

Thought I could jump 10' from the top of my dads dresser onto the bed. .

needless to say the foot board stopped this from being successful.

Smashed my face off the corner of a coffee table, stitches in my bottom lip.

(GI Joe spy glasses really kill depth perception!!!)

Both car rides were fun! I've never seen my mom so grossed out, and my

dad drive so fast!
