I understand you enthusiasm for slackware, but most people that want to check out linux don't want to get bogged down with a system that doesn't run proplerly. One thing that bothers me is that alot of linux guys don't like their systems to look pretty, what's wrong with that? I like KDE. Gnome is ugly as hell, what's the point of having a GUI if it's ugly? I'll use strictly cmd line before I touch Gnome (which I usually do anyway).



If it's not 64 bit then the rest doesn't matter :
