nice post, phins

Gosh, my chapters are so segmented it seems like they have nothing in common! I started that "being a dad" chapter, and it changed a lot of things, mostly the way I thought. I realized there's no "what if." You can't think about the other options, because there are none. You can't go back, and even if you could, you would never be the same. I thought something was going to be different, like the way you felt when you get injured, and you're waiting to heal. Or how you get something new, and can't wait untill the next time you get to use it. No, it's not time-oriented, you're not waiting for something to happen, it's like every day happens. It's not as impactful as I thought it would be, it's just living your life, and that life happens to be one of parenthood. You change gradually, realizing your full potential as a person. And I'm going to stop there, because I could go on all day.

That was a cool little chapter there. Really.

I wish my neighbors next to me would die so someone else would move in. They will never sell they will stay there until they die and drive me mad. So please lord if you are listening how about claiming these little angels for your collection sooner the better. Amen.

This is just musing or rambling of sorts, a few moments of reflection on my part and certainly not a bit of wisdom, nor is it intended to be, but to some degree I could probably say a “chapter” in my life closed yesterday and a new one started. You can loosely break you life into chapters, chapters ended and started by specific events, good, bad or indifferent they are indeed the end of a period of time in your life. My neighbor, who became a close friend moved back to Canada yesterday, his Visa expired. Now this not necessarily a terrible ending to an otherwise exciting chapter in the book, life changes constantly, like the slope of a beach, I always look forward to getting to the beach on the Sea of Cortez, over the past 10 years it has never looked the same from one trip to the next, the slop changes, sometimes more gradual, sometimes not so, this is a great thing and I certainly wouldn’t have it any other way. In the beginning of a new chapter you never know how it’s going to end, the only difference with a book in life is we can’t skip to the end or who knows we’d probably all be speed reading and end up not living life.

So as one chapter comes to end, I always take a moment for reflection, to think of the past a bit, but of course not dwell on it. So my moment of reflection has come. I’m glad I had a neighbor that actually became a close friend and not just friendly, someone I will undoubtedly have as a friend for many years to come.

So I tip my glass to the future, enjoy the present and not dwell on the past. Thanks for reading my moment of reflection, hopefully you don’t feel you wasted your time
So I was like, no you didn't bitch, and then...

No no no, it goes, " I don't know what the **** you just said little man, but you special, you reached out and touched it by the heart." I think. LOL
