This is just musing or rambling of sorts, a few moments of reflection on my part and certainly not a bit of wisdom, nor is it intended to be, but to some degree I could probably say a “chapter” in my life closed yesterday and a new one started. You can loosely break you life into chapters, chapters ended and started by specific events, good, bad or indifferent they are indeed the end of a period of time in your life. My neighbor, who became a close friend moved back to Canada yesterday, his Visa expired. Now this not necessarily a terrible ending to an otherwise exciting chapter in the book, life changes constantly, like the slope of a beach, I always look forward to getting to the beach on the Sea of Cortez, over the past 10 years it has never looked the same from one trip to the next, the slop changes, sometimes more gradual, sometimes not so, this is a great thing and I certainly wouldn’t have it any other way. In the beginning of a new chapter you never know how it’s going to end, the only difference with a book in life is we can’t skip to the end or who knows we’d probably all be speed reading and end up not living life.

So as one chapter comes to end, I always take a moment for reflection, to think of the past a bit, but of course not dwell on it. So my moment of reflection has come. I’m glad I had a neighbor that actually became a close friend and not just friendly, someone I will undoubtedly have as a friend for many years to come.

So I tip my glass to the future, enjoy the present and not dwell on the past. Thanks for reading my moment of reflection, hopefully you don’t feel you wasted your time

I definatley know what your talking about life in chapters, I definatley started a new one with my move to florida. And will be starting another now that my cousin is getting ready to move down here with me to go to pilot school.

It's kindof like walking through a glass door. You can still remember everything that has happened, but it has been dimmed to a point. And is always refered to in reference to that "chapter".

I think it's the mind's way of organizing things. Or to help people that think too much, make sure they don't go mad.

Oh no you don't! Don't you dare apologize! It's nice to see someone actually put something resembling thought in a post. Just think if the whole forum consisted of members like that lovable rogue Banzai--every thread would be about the ****-lock!

Oh, and yes what you wrote was philosophical--Not that there's anything wrong with that....

signed,

1988RedT2, who just started chapter "Raising a Baby Boy" five months ago... I thank the Lord for bringing me a good woman. Together I think we may pull it off!
