Make sure you have lots of charts, a scale model of the factory and what a dealership will look like, and a fancy logo. A real patriotic catch phrase will be mandatory!

You may want to borrow a car from someone so that you can show a car somewhere in the presentation

Here's a brief. Note that they have the services of the designer of the Mazda Miata. I'm going out on a limb and predicting that this company will hit a home run and sell even more vehicles than the famed Delorean Motor Co.

Interesting as I said "startup" and the response was that a "startup" was IMPOSSIBLE, now let's take a second to look at a brief description of a startup.

A startup company or start-up is a company with a limited operating history. These companies, generally newly created, are in a phase of development and research for markets.

SOOOO for you to be right and me to be wrong, please explain to me how this operation doesn't meet the above criteria?

I will be so bold as to say that investors in this company will be more handsomely rewarded than were stockholders who bought GM stock in 2008.

HA HA yea i think that's a pretty safe bet. Let's face it the automotive company's that innovate are the one's on top. Toyota and their Prius. Honda and their hybrids, VW and Mercedes and their blutec diesels.

Now I know the reasons for GM's demise are arguable, but let's take a sec and look at this from a logical point of view, whether you believe it was GM's failure to innovate, to make a product people want, the cost of their overhead, retirement to retirees WHATEVER the conclusion you arrive to THIS COMPANY HAS NONE OF THOSE ISSUES. They plan to build an innovative, "planet friendly" vehicle and they aren't strapped by the ridiculous retiree healthcare and pension plans.

This is exactly what I said was possible if GM went bankrupt, IF the market exists there will another company to come along and meet that demand, period. You know what kind of entity continues to pay out ridiculous wages, pensions, healthcare and make a product no one wants??????? Come on it's an easy answer....

A GOVERNMENT ONE.

If there is no room for the little guy to introduce a new innovative product that the consumer wants, then where does that leave us? Isn't that the American Dream?

I said it would be impossible.

To me a company happens when people (it says there 1500 people) are drawing paychecks and they have a product.

For people who live on the internet and stock market a company happens when you spend $80 to register a company name.

when I posted this topic it wasn't directed at YOU it was directed at Tyson... LOL you bit. You see the title of the topic was "let's see who told me that an auto co startup was IMPOSSIBLE", so when you replied I think some involved in the topic assumed (apparently even you) that you were one of the people who said a startup was impossible. Actually it would appear there were several from the looks of the replies here, but that's ok, 1988Redt2 and I are used to our WILD capitalistic ways being scoffed at

So for the record I never said ROB you said a startup was impossible, nor did I reply. Actually i was surprised when you jumped in here, I originally posted the topic with a bit of humor because I knew Tyson wouldn't take it personally, in fact I figured he come along with some witty reply however I found his reply to be boggling and dissappointing, honestly a 2 star rating when compared to his usual replies.
