Let's Prove My Dad Wrong!

Ok, my dad is under the impression that an Rx-7 is a very delicate car that should not be raced or redlined. Because it is rotary it will blow if it is red-lined often. And an owner should always be very easy on the car, and keep rpm's low.
From what I know if you keep the rpm's low all the time it builds carbon up(carbon = bad) and the minute you go to pass a car you blow your engine 'cause you had big time carbon build up, or fear for carbon lock. The easy way to rid the engine of carbon is a red-line or two after the engine reaches operatig temp. What do you think?
And as far as the drive train the S5 TII Rx-7 has awesone strength and duribilaty and was built for street comp. Am I wrong?
It is dangerous to drive an Rx-7 nice, and it's dangerous to drive it ***** to the wall all the time. There is a little window there that you must stay between. And all and all the S5 TII Rx-7 is a street comp car, am I wrong???

poping the motor has more to do with incorrect mixture than it does carbon buildup. Rotaries need to be revved out, keeps the combustion chamber clean. And there is certainly no harm in it either. No valves to float, etc.

Drive the crap out of the car, my gods its a fricken sports car!! The rotary engine is less likey to have damage due to over revving.....theres only 3 moving parts afterall. Look at my setup, I drive it hard and have for about the past 2 years at 18psi. Its also my daily driver.

It is hard to damage from over revving, since there is no vibration in a rotary engine. Piston engines break when over revved because the engine components can't handle all the vibration. The rx-7 is definately setup to be a competion car, the car can handle a lot of power for its stock components, the major reasons the engines blow is drivers fault for modifing them incorrectly, you can blow a T2 with just full exhaust, w/o fuel modifications.
