and YOU drive a turbo RX7.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Haha. And the money I put in the tank in a year would last two weeks in my daily driver, which is an MPV, not an SUV. I also own a truck that gets 10 mpg, but I don't drive it every day either, just when I need a truck. And that's kind of the point. Half of the Hummers and Suburbans you see going down the road are commuter vehicles driven every day back and forth to work by one single person just because they like the way it looks.
The market will fix the problem. Three dollar gas no problem? How about $5.? Ten dollars? Eventually people will come to see the virtues of more fuel-efficient vehicles. What we don't need is politicians selling off every last piece of our country so the oil companies can **** up every last unspoiled inch of it to extract a pitifully small amount of oil.
I'd like to be able to go to the beach and not have to wade through a smelly black ooze full of dead seagulls. It would kind of ruin it for me, I think.

But you said you were happy with the "arrangement"?
I guess I should have seen it coming. It all sounded okay at first, but then someone's feelings got hurt and someone else got all competitive and possessive. Next thing you know, what should have been a nice menage a trois turns into an episode of Jerry Springer. :sigh:
