So i got a gift certificate from a co-worker for Pep-boys and I decide to roll by the one on Route 46 tonite to get a case of oil. I park my car and am just about to step out when I hear this dude yelling at me..."Hey! Hey man!" ...and I turn around thinking who the **** is yelling at me?!?! haha. This guy steps out of an old accord with muffler/rims and is like "yo, you wanna sell that?" ...pointing to my 91n/a ...I'm like "hmmmmmm...how much money you got?"
Anyway, he proceeded to talk about how he got an FB and was getting a carb turbo kit from "junior"...I'm like you mean "JR?"......."ITO?" (Judge Ito on here) He said yeah and how his dad grew up with Ito or something...so he was hooking him up. I explained that Ito had tuned up my car and was a great shop and contributor to the rotary community...
And then I was like "yeah, there's quite a few guys around with rx-7's"...at which point he shouted out:
"JONATHAN VOKSINARIAN!................oh man, he's got TONS of rx-7's, n/a's, TurboII's...and he's got this modded 3rd gen!!!!!!!!"
(he used some other word to descibe "modded"...one I had never heard before but made "modded" sound like an understatement) ...and while he was explaining this his armspan was spreading and eyes widening alluding to the ARMY of rotaries vosko the great possessed. LOL.
He talked of the white T2 of days gone by, the blue GTU, the FD...and the black 89T2 as well, explaining "oh man, did u see that sweeeeeeet front mount?" so is this guy driving by your house at night vosko? hahaha
I feel bad typing this cause I'm probably making him look bad...but he was a really cool guy...very VERY excited about the rotary...maybe you know him...or maybe he's your stalker vosko, LOL. His name was Mike... I told him to check out the forums for some good info about the cars...So if you're on here Mike...whats up!

damn befor ei came on this board i had no idea there was so much interest in rx7's in jersey, every other car i've worked on in jersey had almost no following, heck it was hard finding someone who wanted to do the same stuff to my 98 Wrangler as i did (and of course once i did it all in my driveway some punk goes and copies it exactly and says he did it first...sure you did), then i couldnt even find someone with a durango that knew anything about them (i had to custom fab a 3" drop for it, that's how much of a modding community they have).
Anyway i was hoping it would be different with the rx7 and damn am i proud to say it is different!!
Cant wait to meet the man, the myth, the legend, the vosko! lol
everyday now i keep my eyes peeled for all the rx7's but now that it swinter i doubt ill see many.

vosko has driven two fcs on the street with no exhaust at all.
one turbo and one na.
oh, wait.... he never drove the na, but he did start it with no exhaust and rev the **** out of it.
you guys could be vosko too if you wanted to. just build up your credit and go deep into debt.
